How can you fall for it when you're aware of the brainwashing? I could listen to the best song ever about how great jews or niggers are and I would still not change my mind.
I can be moved by propagandistic art but that hardly compels my intellect. When you refer to chills I understand what you mean, and it's very cynical to see it as manipulation. You can feel pity for those you oppose, as well as sympathy. It's better to feel deeply and understand what you disagree with than to repress (or not even have) a wide pool of sentiment with which to understand reality. I think people that "don't feel" moved by their enemies art can't really "feel" their own art, they just intellectually support it.
