I boycott selectively, I'm not going to not buy a good game made by good people because games are generally bad. But I agree with the sentiment as I mostly play games from the last decade and before. Even the 2010s had some absolute stinkers tbf

Manor lords was pretty good I guess. I think it came out this decade. Bergfried looks pretty good as well, its like Stronghold but improves the actual castle building by removing the grid system

Its telling that the only good ones I can name are strategy games though. Even Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 which I was waiting for since the first one released sucked. KCD1, now that was a good game, can't say the same about the 2nd unfortunately, just dumbed it down and made it for tourists + added a condescending black man who saves you for 0 reason.

Modern AAA and AA is just usually so... woke and low quality. I'm really bored of it. Even indie games often aren't great.

I'm so bored of it that is hard to even watch trailers and stuff because you're waiting for the bait-and-switch.

I "boycott" by not paying attention and not caring. In fact "boycotting" something has never been easier. You just witness uninspired committee-agreed-upon woke slop come out only to crash and burn within a week or so.

Pretty much. I only get them in Humble Bundles, and the only modern titles I buy are indie games or remasters.
