I know that anti-militarism is rife on this forum, whether out of spite against the state or gynocentric society as a whole, or for political reasons such as opposition to imperialism or interventionism, but I'm curious what people here think about combat itself regardless of all that. I for one would enjoy fighting and wouldn't mind dying instantly from say an artillery barrage or hail of bullets. My only real worry about war is surviving my wounds and remaining a cripple.

In a purely hypothetical scenario, I imagine I wouldn’t fear dying on the battlefield. I’d even see myself volunteering first for a car bomb mission against the enemy, feeling no anxiety or hesitation—driven solely by a desire to reach Paradise. Of course, this is entirely fictional and should not be taken as an endorsement of terrorism or violence in any real-world context.

No

Im criplle

I wouldn't mind dying in combat, unless I'm fighting a war for the Jews, then it'd be a miserable way to go.

Yes cause it would prolly hurt a lot

I am not afraid of death. I am afraid of losing a leg or an arm in order to remain a helpless invalid, doomed to loneliness and poverty, forgotten by everyone. It's much scarier than avoiding a bullet or an artillery strike. I am afraid of becoming disabled, I know that every state in this world has abandoned its soldiers, who have become disabled in the line of duty, and everyone forgets about them and they become useless to anyone, many are ashamed of them. Therefore, becoming an invalid in a war is a million times scarier than dying.

I don't want to die. I want to live and experience the good side of life, but that won't happen.

No one needs soldiers with disabilities, and more than one government in the world will not take care of them. This is the harsh truth of life, and living with a disability is literally eternal loneliness, you will never be needed by a foid, if you are suffering now as a sub 5, then if you do not have a hand, you will suffer much more, most likely everyone will turn away from you except close relatives and even commit suicide being disabled It's going to be hard for you.

In combat you should be more concerned over your unit as a whole so no

Pretty sure I would be scared shitless, especially if I get assigned to a trench clearing mission, drone attacks too since there's no way to deal with them except shoot and hope you hit. The thing with artillery is that you will definitely get hit by a concussion wave at least once in your deployment, personally I wouldn't like getting light braindamage from flying explosive projectiles.

i wish it was ww2 and i could die in battle...people would honor me and think of me as a hero and not some useless nigger that cant do shit

War is bad, especially now that we live in the modern age and humanity has perfected the art of it.
War is dysgenic, everyone that is capable of being noble and sacrificing themselves for the greater good will die and all that is left are the cockroaches, I only support war in situations where it is only alternative, it's typically better if it can be avoided.
I would also personally prefer not to have to do it, and would prefer if other people didn't have to do it also.

The question is not whether you support the war or not. It's whether or not you are afraid of being killed in battle.

Let’s say you’re in a war that’s justified in your view, would be afraid of your mortality then?

Most likely yes, I would prefer not having to go to war.
Of course I would do my best but even if a just war I think on some level I would be afraid of dying.

depends on what im fighting for. but ideally yes because Id rather avoid direct wars as much as possible

in that case then most likely no, because for me a justification for war would be if I'm already starving to death and I have nothing to lose

I refuse to participate in a war meant to protect the society of Chads and Shaddams, or their interests.
Edit: I'm not afraid of any means of death, but rather my own mortality, ageing, and senility; so I'm fine with the idea of dying one's own cause, that being said, I don't see myself joining an armed conflict.

Depends if it's worth it.

Dying for a feminist country run by foids and simps that treats me like a slave, while making it impossible for me to have a family is not worth it.

If it's to protect my private land, property and freedom, yes, it's worth it.

I'd definitely still be afraid, but maybe if it was a cause that i really had faith in i might be able to push through the fear. I always thought there was something incredible and majestic in a way about dying for a cause- your faith and belief overriding your own survival instincts, it flies in the face of everything I've come to know in this modern meaningless world.

If I ever get drafted I'll probably "accidentally" cripple myself to ensure I don't get deployed. There aren't too many jobs for a soldier who can't walk.

This is what scares me, as does the idea of being captured and tortured/slowly killed

No. I'm afraid of dying a meaningless death.

I couldn't join the military anyway as you would need a waiver from MEPS if you have been formally-diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder and those are almost impossible to get.

However, if we do get bombs sent our way there is a small chance of being caught in an unlucky attack on civilian infrastructure.

Still, chances are very remote in my case as I live in a very rural area with nothing of value to be targeted here and I am far away from the coasts.

I won’t answer.
Nobody knows what their real answer is until they’re in that exact situation.

In your time of dying, you will not be afraid.

During combat, you are scared out of your mind.

But, in your dying moments, your brains defenses kick in and you will feel calm and accept your fate.

I have been on the brink of death several times, including violent altercations.

Once, I lay covered in blood, about to pass out from blood loss.
I was calm.
I closed my eyes, fully expecting to never wake again.
And I accepted the end, without fear.

I’m not any different than anyone else.
Your brain has defenses that will kick in and you will feel numb.
Not afraid, not excited…….just calm and accepting.

Combat is gay in general, it’s uncomfortable, dirty, you can’t sleep.
