Experiment Are those two scenarios equal?

Thinking logically and objectively, are those two actions morally equal?

  • Yes, it is the same because influencing sui means you already killed someone from the inside

  • No, murder is murder and sui is still ultimately up to one's decision

Does influencing someone to log off permeantly by any means (being a cause to force a financial/social other situations on said person) lines up to the exact same degree as murder or is murder a higher crime?

Knowing that both are immoral actions and your answer doesn't negate the immorality or evil behind any of those two actions

Give extensive reasoning besides the ones provided for your choice in this thread preferably.

Depends on the nature of the murder and the nature of the suicide coercion, but in general I would say that influencing someone to the extent of them committing suicide is equally, or even more immoral. A typical murder, say someone shooting another person to death is in my opinion less immoral than persistently bullying someone to suicide, as the latter exposes the victim to not only death and physical suffering, but also a great degree of prolonged psychological suffering. The reasoning of "the victim was ultimately the one who killed themselves" is also somewhat flawed in my eyes, as their decision to do so is severely influenced by the person pressuring them. Murders are also frequently the result of a momentary decision. Bullying someone to suicide requires persistent negative action against them.

That was solid
Appreciate your reasoning for your choice.

I think that murder is worse cuz he's killing you in cold blood there's nothing you can do about it. The guy bullying someone to commit suicide is still giving you some options. Either quit the school, job or whatever it is or u can fight back if possible.

Good response thank you for justifying your choice.

First option, you're one of the reasons of death, but not the only one. You don't kill yourself only because someone else tells you to do it.

Second option, you're the only cause of death.

but also depends, if that person is already suicidal, then convincing to rope is less bad, but if that person isnt suicidal and you are the one who does all the job of introducing suicide ideas in that person head is as bad as a murder.

Not executing people who pushed others to suicide is why narcissists and sociopaths are living their best life right now, while you are ROTTING AWAY.

It isn't the same
