Discussion Are there single mothers in Islam?

I know that sounds like a really dumb question but I am legitimately curious. Obviously there has to be women who have children and their husband isn't around to no fault of their own, especially since they forbid divorce within that religion. I am asking in all sincerity, what does the Muslim community do with women like these? I know here and probably four can are going to be the only place that will answer my question honestly. I doubt they kill them but I'm sure on some level they have to be pariah's in their community. Or maybe they're actually is some type of baby mama culture and in the same way you'll see in the Black and Latino communities. I genuinely don't know.

Islam does not forbid divorce at all. The only reason foids might not initiate divorce is because in really strict countries they need a man to walk them so divorce could restrict them but a Muslim woman has the option to initiate divorce and in more progressive Muslim countries like Lebanon they do.

Yeah it’s weird. They have less freedom to go outside than cats in some countries but they are allowed to divorce their husband for something as simple as “he didn’t make me a coffee this morning”.
