i think video game music is designed around the video game, so its hard to give critique for music thats designed a video game that doesnt exist

I thought it was interesting how the stage 1 music has a quiet drum pattern so it makes the tune feel like being suspended in the air the whole time. I also like the melody at the end of the stage 1 music and the sound itself. In the boss music, I like how you take out the main bass line that you have been playing from the beginning during the melody part.

Maybe you could try a different structure if you are going to keep making music for other stages. The stage 1 music and boss music follow a "build-up with intro sequence and then melody" structure so it might be more interesting.

Also, 0:28-0:48 of your stage 1 music and 0:29-0:33 + 0:40-0:43 of your boss music uses the same rhythm so maybe you could change it up a bit too. It reminds me of the famous battle theme from Evangelion. It's a great driving rhythm that pushes things forward, but I feel like it is used in a lot of tunes.

idk about stage 1 but for the boss music i feel like it would have been better if you kept the part when it good, repeated it and made some form of elevation of the intensity (maybe with more timbres)
