Discussion Are the standards of women increasing a great deal or are we just undateable?

I've pondered this question for a while.

While it's true that the advent of social media and dating apps enhanced hypergamy because now women have more options than ever, could it be that we are simply undateable regardless of hypergamy?

Because if hypergamy impacts society on a massive scale, we should be seeing more normies struggling to get laid and most women going out with Chads, but that's not possible because 1) most normies have girlfriends or hookups and 2) Chads aren't that common.

So it's not that the standards of women are skyrocketing (even though they're certainly higher now), but that we belong to the bottom 20% of men who would not get much even if hypergamy was not a thing.
