That's because the Andronovo Culture (which contributed Steppe DNA to curries) was directly descended from the Sintashta culture, which was directly descended from the Corded Ware culture (which contributed Steppe DNA to Slavs).

That said, Slavs and curries are not related to any meaningful extent, because even high-Andronovo curries possess INF and, more importantly, AASI DNA, which causes them to cluster far away from Slavs and Europeans in general. MENAs are significantly more genetically similar to whites than curries are, due to being purely West Eurasian and ANF-heavy:
