Are Russians using Bakhmut to draw and destroy Ukrainian reserves or whatever last ditch conscripts?

I don't agree, but okay - can't persuade somebody who wants to believe in his beliefs.. actually can, but it would take time

And I don't have much time
I don't have much time either. I have to go to class now.

@kretschmer thoughts about Emperor Putinious?

how? Stalin only beat a weaker Germany while Putin is fighting NATO and Western aid in Ukraine
cope, Soviets ate up most of the German attacks, 80% of casualties were on eastern front, also, Ukraine is way weaker than NatSoc germany comparatively even with NATO aid. Russia is just not as strong anymore.

I hope the war will end with his demise
Do you think Putin will change his post to Field Marshal and command this war from his HQ is Donetsk in a bus?

Correct

Now can we all stop with armchair general-thing?

Most generals today command from a chair, the days of the glorious horseback generals is over.

I know, but can we stop talking about the war while our knowledge about it is limited to Reddit and some preconceived war listings?

Yes, why not, I don't talk much about wars either like in a grand strategic, all knowing, redditor kind of way like most people do, my analysis is always tactical and at best operational and with ample nuances and space for inputs

I hope so

What's your age, by the way?

Soviets won because of larger population, also they were the home country while Germany was invading. Home country always has the advantage. Ukraine is definitely quite strong with Western aid, they wouldn't have lasted this long without it

Yeah I'm not denying that but Germany was no doubt a stronger opponent to the Soviets than Ukraine is (even with NATO aid) to the Russian Federation, Putin and modern Russia is just not able to go toe to toe anymore like the old days of the Soviet Union and Russian Empire.

Soviets won because of multiple reasons, not only because of populace.. sorry, won't list them, i am too bad in English

Modern Russia is a money making machine for oligarchs, USSR leadership at least cared for its country

Do you think Putin micromanages stuff like an autist warmonger or leaves it to army staff and subordinates?
putler seems very hands-off tbh
