The public school systems are extremely good, probably the best education in the country, but the schools can be very liberal (politically wise). They're even worse today with "safe zones" in the form of classrooms, and they're willing to ignore the immigration laws and welcome undocumented students. If you looked at a map of any election, Massachusetts is always blue for democrat.

I've always thought of Minnesota as the most Democratic state. They were the only ones (besides DC) to not have voted for Reagan. Then again, things change since way back in the day.
