They are incel, but they have a different style. Western incels are fueled by impotent rage, normies hate that. Hikkis are politely self-loathing, which automatically earns them more sympathy. They just want their dakimakuras and to LDAR.
There is something very sad about them. When you look at incels they are full of rage and rightfully so, we got fucked by society and we know how fuck this world is why wouldn't we be angry about it. But they, they are just like, indifferent... They are very sad and resigned to life. There is nothing left in them. They just gave up and accepted it. Fuck that shit I will never accept this fucking world. I can LDAR like them but it will be on my fucking terms. I'd say they are their own class. The hikkikomori phenomenon is driven more by cultural and economic factors that are unique to Japan than rampant hypergamy. You can be incel and still have a job and an IRL social life, but that isn't true for the hikkikomori.
