I remember a long time ago, someone was saying there's a correlation between looks and IQ and that it might be because both looks and intelligence are affected negatively by health issues. I don't remember who claimed this, though; I think it was a blackpill channel. It made sense to me at the time.

But then there's this:
  • As predicted, there was no relationship between attractiveness and actual academic performance (r = 0.03), but a strong positive correlation between attractiveness and perceived intelligence (r = 0.81), attractiveness and perceived academic performance (r = 0.74) and attractiveness and perceived conscientiousness (r = 0.81). (Talamas, 2016)
I know, aCaDeMiC pErFoRmAnCe isn't exactly a measure of intelligence. There are a lot of factors at play, such as how subhumans try to study more (afaik) and on the other hand, chads get more help and better treatment in education.

Not even health itself is strongly predicted by good looks:
  • Studies correlating judgments of face attractiveness and rater impressions of target health produce very large positive correlations for both sexes, typically around .60.
  • Face attractiveness appears to be a weak predictor of health in women (weighted average r = .15), and it is clearly not a consistent predictor in men (weighted average r = .04).

Anecdotally speaking, there are a lot of chads with shitty health caused by genetics and there are underdeveloped goblins who are perfectly healthy, but this isn't saying much because they can be outliers, too.

I know this is probably already obvious to most of you, but I want to clear this up for myself at least and see what you think.

Yes good genes come in packages as do shit ones :dafuckfeels:

Oh yeah, that was the phrase I heard or read multiple times before. I wonder if there are any studies on this concept.

I know I should be looking these things up myself, but I'm either retarded or lazy.

It's usually the ugly nerds who are intelligent while Chad is medium or low IQ

academic performance
Not IQ.

Explainable by "if you look good, you party and fuck around in school/life". Intuitively I would guess there should be some correlation between IQ <-> looks because of mutational load, but I have no strong evidence at hand.

Actually, the meta analysis mentions something about "intellectual competence", but I'm too lazy to go looking right now if they used IQ to meassure that. Got vidya to play

Yes, mutational load is another possible factor I forgot to mention.

I honestly don't think its as straight forward as "good looking people are more intelligent." Everyone knows the stereotype of an intelligent nerd, basically a person with thick glasses and braces, small and frail body, who also gets bullied by others.

Attractive people might get a better start and teachers + parents are more eager and willing to help those kids to succeed.

Take for example the black community, the gangbanging attractive Tyrone is much more sought after than the black kid who likes to read books and comics and gets straight A's.

I would say it's not true. Jeremy meeks has attractive face features but he's an aggressive criminal that beat up a kid, lmao.

Society rewards psycho and sociopaths.

And he couldn't even say "don't ever give up" properly. :feelshaha: But a single example may not be enough - he could be an outlier for all I know (not saying he's an outlier, just playing devil's advocate).

True. And regardless of IQ, dark-triad traits are bad for soyciety.
