It is kind of lame because research has shown that myopia is definitely tied to environment. People who do a lot of "close work" (reading, writing, looking at a screen or anything within a few feet of their face) are more likely to develop it. Then again, dweebs and losers tend to spend more time studying, reading, watching tv, playing vidya and computers, so there is definitely some correlation between losers and glasses even if it is influenced by environment.
There are communities online that are claiming it can be reversed to some degree if not completely through training. I've also heard of people reversing through ayahuasca use.
