Plenty of reasons.

1. Many of us ethnics are fully westernized and lack the cultural background to secure an arranged marriage. I'm pretty sure whites can get an arranged marriage too in India (I haven't heard of it being limited to only ethnic Indians) but don't because they're completely unfamiliar with the cultural vocabulary.
2. Arranged marriages lack the type of romantic intimacy that makes up the reason why we hate being single. Having sex isn't enough - otherwise we would get an escort. Being friends isn't enough - otherwise we'd just get foid friends. We need a soulmate. My parents and grandparents on both sides of my family are in arranged marriages and there is no love in any of their relationships. Just do all the necessary rituals, make a good public appearance, and get on with their ultimately separate lives.
3. We fear being glorified betabuxxes or scammed. Once we import currywhores to the west they have the freedom to divorce us at any moment and secure a livelihood with US citizenship/green card.
4. Trad currywhores aren't angels and can be petulant. My grandmom can be pretty bitchy. She was arguing with her maid for the past two years over some earring she lost and wants back and they're still at it.
5. Some of us try and fail because arranged marriages have been quite liberalized recently and involves more female choice (@ilieknothing).
