Apocalypse befriended some attractive woman (princess or queen I don't remember). She probably has some romantic feelings for him. But, Apocalypse wear mask to hide his hideous face.

Unfortunately, when Apocalypse lost his mask, she saw how he really looks like. She was disgusted by his face and ordered guards to kill him.

Sad! Many such cases. It's a trope used to dehumanize and humiliate the villain before the Chad main characters (and Cuckverine) appear to save the day.

It's quite common for villains to have incelic characteristics. On the movie Unbreakable (2000) there is a line about it. @tulasdanslos is right, this is made to dehumanize the character. Very rarely you'll see ugly foids being villains, they are more commonly portraited as victims.

Even works of fiction are made to oppress incels and prop foids up.
