Lots of things are poorly documented. Others are just not understood by people with little experience. Determine which that is first. As for Apache, I've not seen what any of the modern documentation looks like so I cant comment.

Stack Overflow always helped me especially with .NET framework questions. I can always post my problems and get some correct answers back and they copy that code and tweak it for the HTTPS site I'm working on for the company.
