James Warren Jones was an American religious cult leader who initiated and was responsible for a mass suicide and mass murder in Jonestown, Guyana. He can onsidered Jesus Christ as being in compliance with an overarching belief in socialism as the correct social order.
Had multiple wives and children and kept them as lateral slaves. Also convinced over 100 people to kill themselves . You’d have to be charismatic and likable as possible. I don’t think I have the heart but I could see some people using religion as a tool to elevate oneself and men and women would flock to you. Imagine an “incel cult”. A cult with men outnumbering women but they felt sympathetic for our cause and willing gave themselves only to incels. I could actually see that happening tbh.

Shoko Asahara:
was the founder of the Japanese doomsday-cult group Aum Shinrikyo. Asahara was convicted of masterminding the deadly 1995 sarin-gas attack on the Tokyo subway, and was also involved in several other crimes. He was sentenced to death in 2004. In June 2012, his execution was postponed due to further arrests of Aum Shinrikyo members.[2] He was executed by hanging on July 6, 2018.
