I know there's plenty of users based in Germany here. Any tips on mastering the German language?

Yes, I'm German and besides other Deutsch-cels if there are Swiss or Austrian guys on here they can also help you.
I'm shit at giving tips, I don't know where to start. ig just try and look up phrases and words in areas that interest you. it's not an easy language

I speak perfect German and the local dialect.
But I start to forget the dialect because of the big amount of migrants here. And these shitskins only rape our beautiful language.
Elende Puppeköpp, isch han de Schnüss voll von euch, dreckelije Kanakendriss da!

Nicht nur die Kanack:innen, sondern auch Feminist*:innenInnen tun das tagtäglich. Was sonst als die Vergewaltigung der Sprache von Goethe, Schiller und Schickelgruber sind denn die das Deutsche mutilierenden Formen wie "Sozialdemokrat:innen" usw.?

Can you recommend a German language grammar book for English Speakers?

I once heard "Practice Makes Perfect: Complete German All-in-One" is good.

A good way to learn languages is often times watching German tv shows, or generally consuming german entertainment etc. My parents learned a lot after migrating that way. Otherwise there is this app I forgot the name but it's specifically for people who try to learn a new language where they can communicate with in ur case a german for learning purposes. I'm pretty sure you'll find it swiftly with a google search.

Its impossible to learn the perfect german language after you enter adulthood. there are too many nuances that are impossible to immitate in real life. even the people who are natives make regular grammar mistakes. ontop of that most people here built in alot of english words in their sentences and even conjugate them in every grammar tense which makes it even harder to learn.

most foreign students at university don't even try to learn the language here as they can get through exams with english and they are smart people.

the only way to learn it is to listen to young people speaking it.

at the same time its impossible for a german to speak any other language without an accent.

To master foreign languages I would always switch my operating system to the language I want to master. I would play all my games in that language and even get a keyboard with the letters if it is Russian, for example.

I would watch my favourite movies in that language and every time I stumble upon a word I don't know, I'd pause the movie and look it up online.

I would of course play online on server dominated by people who speak that language and practice bt speaking with them.

As for spelling, that's where your keyboaard comes into play.

But as for handwritinf, that you will have to do the old fashioned way, which is the best way to learn to spell correctly btw, because of muscle memory.

It will help tremendously.

Good luck, fren.
