It also gets confused with shamrock, but according to the Wisconsin Master Gardener Program website, shamrock is a "corruption of an Irish word that means 'little clover' and generally refers to white clover (Trifolium repens)".
I have not, though I think I've heard of it. ROM hack I play most is Pokemon Quartz, tbh. The Pokemon are all ugly as sin; makes me feel at home.

pokemon quartz is garbage, some of the designs of clover are really good, much better than sword and shield
I dropped it around the 6 gym I don't know why. I'll go back now, you should play it too
