Sometimes, as a Canadian cel who managed to graduate from college with practically zero debt, knwing that my education and my healthcare is paid for, It doesn't bother me to pay tax much since I got enjoy the fruits of other taxpayers.
In the end, I got myself an ok paying job in a field I like with zero debt and so I just spent the last years stacking and saving dough for home purchase or future investments.

However, at times, I tend to read and watch stories of what happens in USA, where most normies, while having a fulfilled sex/dating life are sweating their tits out paying massive student loans debt, healthcare debts and can barely affort to pay rent since apparently appartments costs a fuckton in metropolitan area in USA..

Plenty of stories on YT and /r about people stressing out to pay their debt and on are on the verge of psychological meltdown;
hell even the average roastie can't escape from debt trauma :feelskek:

At least I'm a bit happier knowing my financials arent a total mess like my dating life is.

What about you?

No debt, comfy amount in savings, comfy amount in compounding interest acc. Steady stream of autismbux. Will buy a house when i get inheritance, live with parents till then most likely, although i have enough savings to move out for probably 3-4 years, and my autismbux would increase if I moved out.

But why move out as an autistic incel? I wouldn’t get any of the benefits of moving out so why bother moving out? Moving out is for chads who can bring home girls to fuck, id be twiddling my thumbs alone in some shitty apartment, and paying a premium to do so. I can already do that living with my parents, and they don’t charge me anything which allows me to continue to hoard money to be used on my future house

Hey fellow Canadian here also :)
I only graduated recently and also managed to get a pretty good career. I am however paying off my student debts, but it's nothing really (30k-40k) my degree was worth it unlike most of the other retards in Canada who are getting bullshit degrees. I really hope I can pay back my OSAP soon though :)

I have enough money to live comfortably for 5+ years if I were to lose my job. I'd never get myself in debt willingly, even if it meant death tbh

This is the problem. If you become a taxpayer instead of a NEET, you are paying hundreds of thousands for university, you're just paying it over a longer period (which is nice) and can't see how much you're paying or where it's going to (which isn't nice). The US has this problem as well since even private schools get funding and tax breaks, so I'm not saying the US is better, but the idea that university is "free" is a weird delusion that Canadians and Europeans have. They see their governments as loving and paternalistic entities which generously shower them with these "free" things. But those of you who got your "free" STEM degrees, as well as those of you who instead just went into the labor force, are paying for Becky Rosenstein to have her "free" gender studies degree (or, more likely, 10 fucking gender studies degrees, each one focusing on a more and more specific form of utter horseshit).

The problem in the US isn't that university isn't "free", it's that we have federally guaranteed student loans. Loan companies have basically no reason to say no to giving any kid any amount of money for any degree, because Uncle Sam (read: taxpayers) picks up the tab when Becky buys phone cases and blue hair dye instead of paying her loans. Factory workers and farmers pay for kids far wealthier than them to do drugs for 4 years and get a bullshit degree that returns no value to society. And since there are these guaranteed loans, the cost of college has artificially ballooned to match the seemingly endless supply of money, the majority of it going to pointless administration (hiring a "Chancellor of Safe Spaces", who earns a quarter million a year in salary and is given a $10 million/year budget), some to creating and propping up bullshit academic departments doing dubious social "research" (the aforementioned gender studies and such things, basically just a cyclic loop of adjuncts writing papers for other NPCs like them to cite in their own papers, none of it ever getting read by anyone else save the occassional quote on Vox.com about muh patriarchy believe wahmen), some to more and more luxurious student accomodation for fragile spoiled brats (see that article from a few years ago with kids complaining that the sushi at their cafeteria was "cultural appropriation" because it used the wrong kind of rice), and ugly modernist buildings that cost a fortune without improving the value of the education.

The cost will continue to rise until we shut off that fire hose, which should be a priority in the US.
