When I had shitty laptops in middle school (like with 1GB of RAM and processors from 2004) I had to use Linux because otherwise my computer was laggy af. I had Linux Ubuntu and it was quite fast not gonna lie, but also looked uglier than Windows and I couldn't have many programs kek.
