I love these games so much, dark souls 1 and bloodborne are my favorite, though i just started dark souls 3, i just beat the 1st lord of cinder, so dont spoil me on anything past that. Your thoughts on the series?
I only played bloodborne, but I absolutely loved it. I never played i game that was as lore deep as bb. I spent so much time not only learning the mechanics of the game, but why things were the way they were inside the game world. It was quite the experience the first time around.

Iv'e played all the Souls games. I liked all of them, but 2 is kinda meh though. Bloodborne is one of my favorite games that Iv'e ever played.

I tried Souls 2, but it was too grindy and frustrating.
Yes, I've played and beat all 5 of them. Proudest moment was a level 1 run on DS1 with like ~50 deaths.

2 is definitely the worst and the only one I haven't beat more than once. It's not awful as a game, but it's awful for a dark souls game.
The most deaths was to the bed of chaos, because the thing would one-shot me no matter what I wore. That boss is glitchy and gay as fuck anyways.
DS3 in my opinion.

As far as games go, absolutely essential incelcore, I'd say. Can't beat DS1 in terms of that atmosphere of hopelessness and isolation.

See here's the thing. I don't like games that openly fuck with me and make me do the same thing over and over again. I'm not averse to A BIT of grind or reasonable difficulty... But when the immediate expectation is "you'll get fucked by this fight and have to redo it over and over until you have a zen moment of perfection and win by the skin of your teeth", I just get mad.

You can (and should IMO) grind the same area until enemies stop spawning. Which I did, and got pretty OP in process, and then got fucked by the boss fight anyway.
Because bosses are all magical unicorns that require special sauce to beat, elsewise they stomp your ass.

Ive played DS1 to DS3 and ive never had to grind for shit to complete the games on my first try.
Its true though that some things are vague af, e.g. the stormruler needed to defeat Yhorm.

That's how I did it when I played, I hate watching videos that tell me how to play games. Went in totally blind and got fucked.
Then i was told that the right way to do it is to watch videos so some neet can explain to me how to game right. Fuck that.
Anyway. Souls and soulclones are just not my cuppa.

i played bloodborne 6 times and dark souls 3 once and hated all of it

played all but bloodborne, and the 3rd game dlc. demons and ds1 were incredible. 2 was ok, and I played far more of it than I should have. 3 was an improvement but still not as good as ds1
dark souls games are incredibly boring, if i wanted to play glorified super mario i world
Here's my screenshot from my level 1 run. I checked, it was actually 139 deaths (apologies for being so wrong). Also, I did not fight Priscilla or Gwyndolin. Never summoned and did not do DLC.
Dark souls is easy (no joking btw)
They are the only games I still like
