I have ocd with cleaning and organizing. How do you cope or get over it? It’s making my life miserable

I do when it comes to washing myself and my hands. There's nothing to cope with

I had really bad ocd from around 13ish to 18. It was disastrous for me and literally ruined my life. I don’t think I was ever truly happy once during those times. The entire time I was either living in fear of stuff that would contaminate me or engaged in ritualized compulsions like hand washing or showers that would literally last for hours. And it’s brutal because those are your “best” years and also most influential. I’m over my contamination ocd now but I’ll always be an orphan of all the teenage relationships and experiences I missed out on.

Same for me, as well as shutting things down when I leave. I have not found anything to make it better, unfortunately.
