I am behind in the megucia franchise, last one I watched was the rebellion. Would I have to watch any magia record spinoff to be in tune with this movie? I will watch in theaters if it’s showing around here.

I doubt it, since this movie is the sequel to Rebellion. And I'll watch it in theaters if they have it here too.
The last anime movie I watched in theaters left a bad taste in my mouth. This one looks promising.
Last movie I watched was overlord the sacred kingdom and it was a good experience. There was not many people in the theater.
Same for me. There was some foids behind me my last movie. I hope there is big titty goth foids in this screening.

The new Kyubey has the same glasses as Homura and that new brown haired magical girl with a bow weapon. In the trailer Devil Homura gets one of her wings blown off by sheer force, possibly an arrow from the new magical girl.
Sayaka is most likely not happy and going after Homura as well, since her memories are intact.
It will be even more insane if one of Homura's alter-egos in the flesh (smug Homura) is also looking to replace Devil Homura.

Kyubey magical girl might be real. I mean Homura did send him to go kill all the wraths, he might have gained a magical girl body.
