I had friends in school who liked it so I got into it that way. It's one of the only ways I still have friends to be honest. There's a lot of people at Games Workshop stores with autistic level social skills so I fit in pretty well I think.

Here's what I play:

always looked like it had good lore, but seemed expensive. plus you gotta leave your room and have friends to play. vermintide is fun though.
