Yes, I never understood the appeal, though I never really liked movies or fiction much in general. Marvel movies lack the grounding required to be even somewhat enjoyable. They are also incredibly formulaic (from what little I have seen).

The MCU was somewhat good at the start. Winter Soldier was what that got me invested, but when Guardians of the Galaxy came out a few months later, that was when Marvel found their sterile formula, low stakes, quips, and forgettable villains. Marvel is still banking on that formula, but with just more girlbossing and man-hating.
