Anybody know about getting homebrew/fbi games on 3DS?

I've been trying to install homebrew on my old 3ds for about 2 hours now and both methods have failed.
The sound app All ways quit the app and sent me to home screen when I clicked it to play the file.
And the freakyhax would do the same thing when I had it read the qr code.
This is a pain in the ads, I'm trying to get unlimited free games on this shit.
