Start with USSR or Germoney, the US is decent at tier 1 but then you're gonna get to all those copypaste sherman tanks and that's when you'll be lucky to even get a kill before dying 4 times in a match.

Shermans are good tanks
good cannon but they are fatass big juicy targets, frontal armor is mid and even then youre gonna get penned frontally by a lot of tanks. I'm only talking about tier 2 shermans I havent gotten to other ones, got US grind fatigue and switched to Germany

T-34s are no better, just driver hatch saves it sometimes
Shermans are good all rounders, balanced tanks and unlike soviet tanks, they have gun depression and stabilizers.
Panthers are downtiered due to braindead Germany players, so they can one click all Shermans and T-34s, pretty much anything around their BR range.
rank 1 soviet tanks are easy lunch cuz they got no armor, the BT series at least has the perk of being mobile so theyre still solid, and the T-28 has six gorillion crew members and 109 cannons
the KV series is extremely hard to kill, they have great armor all around but they show up at rank 2 so yea...
The sides of a sherman are massive and theyre soft so any flank attack is gonna oneshot you, and like I said you get penned frontally a lot by all kinds of tanks.
Sloped armor + rounded corners + volumetric shells mechanic makes it harder to kill these things, especially ridiculous how OP KV-1E is when it plays against guns with 80-110mm of pen.
Anyway, even despite some of the advantages of Soviet tanks, I don't really like them because of gun depression, when a slight hill makes it difficult to get easy frag which doesn't even look at your direction.
Beginners should play at least all 3 major nations like USA, USSR, Germany up to rank 4 so they have an idea what they like + getting experience in game.

I want to get into it again but my potato pc can't handle even decent graphics. Sometimes I play just to fuck around with the training runs for the pay-to-win vehicles
there are low graphics option for older GPUs
I loved to play the KV 85 because of how unbelievably broken it was. I wasn't even concerned about dying 90% of the time

Meanwhile I research every plane in the tree and play all of them (not recommended to people who want to have fun). Although those Junkers ground attackers have amazing rear gunners, there have been multiple instances where my AI gunner got me a kill while I just flew without doing anything, compare that to those bomber gunners who are passed out drunk and only start shooting at the enemy when theyre about to ram into you

Fighters are only planes worth playing most of the time, they contribute the most. Bombers are just useless, fat easy frag that barely affects outcome of the match. Even in ground RB it's better to take fighter that carries few bombs than bomber with lots of bombs or ground attack aircraft.

only highlight I had with bombers was when I bombed a base and killed 2 enemy fighters that were taking off in the moment, first and probably only time I will ever kill another plane with a bomb
