I used to make upto $2000-$2500 a month from online poker just a few years ago. I lived in Europe and this cash was enough for me. Now it seems much harder to make money in poker. I also ruined my eyesight via staring at the sun and now can only make maybe $200-$250 if I play full time, which is 10x less than it used to be.

Anyone plays poker pro or semi-pro here or has in the past?

Because when I looked in the mirror I saw a Gigachad and this hipnotized me into thinking the World is not real / me talking to myself in the mirror is divine. It's stupid because if I had done it more and more safely maybe I could've ascended and got banned from here as i was mega autistic but had some other stuff going for me so was kinda on volcel spectrum. Now I'm obv. a doomed truecel as the vision loss equals confidence loss equals discomfort equals can't get money equals death.

Also my friend quit his job recently to be a full time poker professional. He isn’t incel though and I am going to his wedding in a couple of weeks

Yeah real casinos are better. The standard play is learn to beat micros online to build skil but then actually play only live to make money. I haven't played much live myself but head A LOT that it's more profitable to play live.

As a live or online poker pro? Online seems very hard nowadays with only a few peoples being able to beat it (outside bot rings who defo beat it but using code, not manually)

Yeah yeah. It's funny. As low as nl2 zoom on Pokerstars now it's same regular players that were there 9 months ago when I previously played.

Everyone is using solvers nowadays, I would never play online poker honestly. I know a few people who play, but not that often, and also there’s no casinos where I’m at so I’m kind of fucked. I’d still never play online.

If you stare (look at) the sun long enough it's guaranteed to seriously damage your retina and you go blind in area where sun was shining on your retina. In the center for my case. At least if you look at Sun roughly midday. Early morning and late evening maybe you can look without getting damaged, or getting damaged less? I dunno, there's some weirdos called "sungazers" who stare at the sun in early morning and late afternoon and supposedly don't get sun damage or get less sun damage, go figure. They're weirdos.

Why did I do this? Because I was deluded and acted impulsively and tried to "prove myself" or some stupid shit. Now I'm half-blind and fuck my life.

It's not random. There's patterns, logic, game theory and mathemathical odds in there. I used to make a living off of it for a few years, constantly winning.

A good place to start to learn to beat 2nl zoom is https://www.blackrain79.com/ but to beat 5z* and further you need to study on your own, get an advanced HUD and learn all the stuff, know math and train up indifferent mind where you're not attached to the outcome of the hand or the effective hand strength you have

* back in 2016-2018 you could beat up to 10z for sure fairly easily with blackrain79 teachings but now in 2024 the game is harder
