Playing DARK SOULS III. Overrated by far. I think it is the worst FROMSOFTWARE soulsbourne game they've done. Even worse than DARK SOULS II.

I actually liked cathedral of the deep & farron keep. My problems are mainly the linearity & the bloodborne rip of some of the things. This is kinda autistic but, DARK SOULS is medieval based aesthetics while BLOODBORNE is victorian era based. Lothric castle feels more like Yharnam than anything medieval based. Same goes for the Undead Settlement, which felt like a RE4 x Bloodborne mashup. I still liked the Undead Settlement area though.

CONS:
The thing that disappointed me the most is the bosses. I've been told time and time again, that this is FROMSOFTWARE's magnum opus specifically when it comes to bosses. Now, as of typing I've only defeated 10 bosses. Vordt was an easy & shit mashup of Blood Starved Beast & Darkbeast Paarl from BLOODBORNE. Crystal sage was a boring boss. Deacons of the Deep had a cool concept but it was executed badly & too easy imo. Yhorm the Giant was a gimmick boss and for me gimmicks are hit & miss. The highlights, boss-wise, definitely have been Abyss Watchers & Pontiff Sulyvahn. The enemies & areas are relatively easy so far.

I also think I just have souls-fatigue.

PROS:
Pontiff Sulyvahn was a great boss. Abyss Watchers was a great fight, felt like an improved version of the Lost Sinner from DS2. Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, Cathedral of the Deep & Undead Settlement are great classic souls levels.

CONCLUSION:
Maybe I just came with the wrong expectations. I'll give an update maybe, once I've finished the game.
