The game is huge ! 150 go, recreates the entire planet earth, you can fly in a lot of ultra realistic planes and their own settings, hundreds of airports to land, cities, changing weather, circadian cycle ... Damn, even wildlife is somehow visible from the sky. :feelsLSD:

I think I'm going to take some holidays just to play this game. Seems like the ULTIMATE COPE. :feelsokman:

Any flightsimulatorcel here ? What is your experience with the game ?
The only thing lacking is the kinky interaction between pilots and sexy flight attendants. Shit, even cope planes remind me of inceldom now. :feelsbadman:

Planes just remind me of normies flying to Party locations, so nope. So for flying games i can just play combat games.

might give it a shot when it comes out in VR, not that appealing to me rn

I wanted to get it so I can recreate 9/11 but a brocel told me there are no crash animations. Is it possible to mod it?

How the fuck is that exciting? You're literally just flying on a map, that's it. No sense of progression, nothing. You must be a mindless rat to play that game.

Agreed it's boring

DCS world only.

I love it, but my computer can't run it at my insane resolution properly. Shit turns into a slideshow even with upsampling. I'm gonna have to wait until you can actually go out and buy a GPU.

I did start crossing the world in a Cessna 172, though. Real fun so far.

Pilotwings64cel :feelsbadman:

That sounds like ot could be very engrossing, but no way I'm paying for the requisite hardware.

Checking in.

I attempted doing the pattern work to see how close to reality it is. Apart from the shambolic pattern tutorial, it's very accurate.

OP you fly on VATSIM? For obvious reasons I won't ask for your username.

I don't think any simulator has ever had such a thing.
Entire planet? shit what kind of PC do you need to run that!
It's CPU bound at any resolution that isn't 4K because they're using DX11.
Irrespecive of that, you ~ need a 2070s and a very good Internet connection as it's streamed to your pc.So yeah a beastly pc.

You better have a Super PC.

It's still early. Give it a few years for more mods to arrive.

Once you have tasted flight, you will wander the earth with your head pointed skywards - For there you have been and there you long to return. - Leonardo Da Vinci

Not everyone has the pilot blood, but there's something satisfying about seeing your airliner just cruising through the air.
DCS world only.

Mirin tbh. I need TrackIR tbh.

I don't know this. It's a simulator too ? Might be interesting tbh. I'm a newbie in the genre but I want to dig it.

Yes. I've been playing Microsoft Flight Simulator games for a long time. I have Microsoft Flight Simulator 4.0, 5.1, 98, 2000 Professional, 2002, and 2004. I have yet to get Microsoft Flight Simulator X and the new 2020 release.

There is no flight sim for your face boyo

Oh jfl I don't even have a HOTAS.
I just watch DCS World videos, not to mention when I ran DCS I got 30fps lowest settings even in the sky. ( This is after I managed to take off with the SU-25 using keyboard and mouse )

sounds boring tbh been playing the cold war beta

Needs to be first person at ground level.

It's very demanding to run - My system is Ryzen 3600X, mid range b450 motherboard, 16GB 3200MHz RAM, SSD and a GTX 1660 Super and I run in high settings. My graphics card is a bit of bottle neck on it but honestly given everything I have seen I don't think this game will be really comfortable in the most demanding tasks until the Nvidia 40 series cards or RDNA 3.

Also it does have some bugs - there is still a lot of optimisation to be done on it. The studio really reached for the limits of what can be done at the moment. It's very enjoyable though.

I want to get it but I'm a poorcel and my Pc will probably light on fire if I try to play it.

I'm a console loser.

Given how demanding it is, how on earth are they going to get that working in a playable state on base Xbox One?

If it comes to Game Pass for console, maybe I'll try it one day.

Game is to big to download it with my 3rd world country internet and my PC probably would struggle.

To be fair, I always liked flying in GTA 5, with no purpose. But that was cooler, you could crash into buildings, you could go under bridges, land on the street, smash a few cars etc.

You seem pretty knowledgeable about specs for games tbh
You have a virtual reality device like the HP Reverb G2 headset? That will be compatible with an upcoming virtual reality version of Microsoft Flight supposedly coming out in less than a month.

You know I have never really tried virtual reality but actually MSFS - especially flying something like an airliner would really benefit from some VR. I haven't looked into it recently but I know some guys have set ups that change the camera angle based on something that monitors neck movement.

It's coming out really soon supposedly. Early enough that you could put the HP Reverb G2 Headset and Microsoft Flight vr on your Christmas list tbh

I've been playing it a lot since DCS took a shit performance-wise.

I play Il-2 1946 because I prefer combat flight sims.

Il-2: 1946 with the B.A.T. mod installed is almost everything you'd want in a combat sim. Yeah, there's no in-depth systems or realistic start procedures but it has everything from WWI to Desert Storm.

It even lags on a rtx 3080 I doubt OP can even start the game jfl
I generally manage with my GTX 1660 super and a Ryzen 3600X. In high settings I generally get 30fps, a few stutters. Nights and clouds are hard work on my system and it stutters. I've had a few annoying crashes. Still needs some more optimisation and I'm waiting for the new AMD cards to become more reasonably priced or maybe some 2080's to be on the market used for cheap.

If you want to play in ultra with everything maxed out then yeah. You probably need to wait for the RTX 4000 series or RDNA 3 cards. I don't think it will fully mature as a game for several years yet.

microsoft is not allowed to implement this
