The few series like that I could find were way too vanilla, nothing at all happened. It seems like only yuri is capable of delivering the right amount of teasing together with an actual plot. When it's female + ugly/loser man, either nothing at all happens (titles like Miman Renai come to mind) or it's straight rape with little to no plot (doujinshi).

As a consolation price, some yuri recommendations would also be cool. I'm not interested at all in Chad/pretty boy x female romance titles.
