Is it difficult to learn all the mechanics of the game? I have a shit attention span.

I like games where you can play as countries. Total War is fun but there's too little diplomacy options. I know i'd like EU4 if I actually learned all the mechanics, i'm not sure if i'd be able to do that though.

If it's like other paradox games then it takes a while to learn but once you find out 99% of the mechanics don't matter and know the meta for your units then it's pretty straight forward.

I'm not big into EU4 but I've played hoi4 and stellaris way too much.

Just play it, you will get familiar with the basics pretty quickly

It's a great game but the devs went full pozzed and now are making expansions for africa and oceania

when you understand the game mechanics you realize youre doing the same thing for most countries with little variation. once you get to a certain point you can beat most of your neighbors and if youre good enough you can beat most countries, alliances, and coalitions. nevermind that some mechanics are simply retarded, mid and late game brings no real challenges, and its a paradox game so it runs like shit
