When I was a teenager I believed in socialism but now I think it's mostly retarded. Maybe in stable high-trust societies there are parts of socialism that work well. Like in some countries (Norway, Switzerland, Taiwan, Japan, etc.) socialized healthcare works because people are considerate of others and don't try to scam the system. But in a low-trust society like America or China it's fucking shit.
And scale matters a lot. In a town of a few hundred people it's easy to collectivize and distribute resources efficiently. Doing it with a nation of millions, it quickly turns into a mess that leads to many monumental fuckups. Actually the only reason socialized healthcore works in the aforementioned countries is because the free market still does most of the work. When commissar Jamal is deciding the production of medicine and who gets it for how much, it's time to GTFO.

I am also for workers having more of a say in the organization of their place of employment and against predatory business and advertising.
The economy needs to be stable but should never be put in front of enforced virtues, otherwise the shortsighted motivation of being soly focussed on increasing revenue and reducing production-cost will lead to misery and the destruction of culture as well as the spread of degeneracy, leading to a doomed society guided by our lowest nature and impulses.
