I had an interview to be an actuary for a bank today. It went okay I guess. Not sure if I will get it.

In the interview they said once you learn the stuff you don’t have to talk to anyone ever, work from home and you get a six figure salary.

Sounds like an incel dream tbh. Any brocels able to verify?

I have never worked as an actuary, but in high school we learned that it was one of the highest paying insurance/risk management jobs.

Yeah, I’m pretty excited about that if I get it tbh. I’m in a pretty low paying job now

it is Indeed incel friendly. But at least in USA, you have to take hardcore math tests yearly I think. Test score affect compensation
bad for low IQ cels but good for higi

My cousin studied actuary in university. He's making £50k iirc

Probably will be soooo boring

Our guidance counselor spoke of mathematicians and actuaries during our eighth grade graduation.

I have Dyscalculia.

Sounds like a dream job. I hope they'll hire you. Good luck.:panties:

If only money could buy happiness. :feelsbadman:

How will experience as a programmer help you get into actuary

You probably need some financial experience as well. The place I applied were looking for mathematical skill and financial experience. You obviously have mathematical skill with programming

I've known a few people who have done this. Work from home? You're so lucky and you can practically move anywhere in your job field. :feelsjuice:

In the U.S. such jobs are dominated by foids or single moms, they get all the easy clerical jobs for the most part. :feelsjuice:

Surprising since foids usually suck at maths

I remember talking to a foid architectural engineer once, she said that after they graduate college they literally have a computer do all the math for them regarding schematics. I asked again, "But don't you have to do any of the math handwritten yourself from time to time?" She said no, "The computer does everything for us." :feelsjuice:

Say what?! Ooh, that sounds like something I might want to get into. Is the schooling difficult for that?
