The Art of Worldly Wisdom

Try the book I recommend in the opening post of the thread that's stickied titled "a thread for books..."...dear op.

no joke i want to read it, is it actually good?
I read it 1 or 2 years ago, it might change your opinion on certain issues (democracy, race, propaganda) and on Hitler as a person (since you get to see the development of the party and the struggles in his life from his point of view). I actually found myself agreeing with about 70% of what is written there, it made me realize Hitler wasn't a madman.
Make sure to read the Stalag edition, it was the only one officially translated by the NSDAP

Industrial society and it's future.
Both are concise, entertaining and thought-provoking, I second the recommendations.

Difficult read but some chapters are very good.

I'd recommend "The Power of Now". You could say it's cope but I liked the book. Bonus for the audiobook version, the author himself reads it and his voice is very soothing.

Time to Get Tough

You probably read them already but I liked The Stranger by Camus and Metamorphosis by Kafka.

Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow, it's degenerate kaleidoscopic fuckfest with a lot of characters and sub-plots and shit like that.
A masterpiece of slapstic fuckery of the highest caliber.

Try his shorter short stories, entertaining stuff with length accomodatable to kafka's painful prose, with all due respect to the guy of course.
