Aside from Code Geass. Classroom of the Elite is sort of close. No killing, but the MC is a lot like Light in the sense that he's a high IQ machiavellian who manipulates people and the anime revolves around scheming and mind games.

Try out this anime called “s-CRY-ed”, it’s more battle-shonen esque but the whole idea of two guys who have a rivalry right off the bat is still there.
