Serious Any advice on how to stay sober?

I haven't lasted more than 10 days in the past year of sobriety. Everytime my ocd or depression gets unbearable i end up reaching for the bottle. Then i binge drink for weeks and then try to stop again and i fail after about a week. I ahve been doing the same pattern for months. How do i stop? I have been trying to cope with food or even porn instead but it does little to help.

The only reason why I can control my overindulgence is because I have a job and it keeps me busy during the day. Makes it easier since I'm not just LDARing all day.

I think problem with addiction & LDAR is that the only thing that can replace addiction is a more addicting thing. I think first step is to build structure in life. Make sure you have a job or a rigid schedule. That is the first step.

If you LDAR and have an addictive personality then it is over.

When I went, they hooked me up with a better job than I had before. If you're not an adult, your job probably isn't the most prestigious anyway.

i really cant. I binge about 3 liters of beer in a few hours everyday

Addictions are very hard to break. Honestly, they never really go away, just linger in the background. I try and stay occupied with something else to delay the inevitable.

Don't have bottles nearby to reach for. Same thing for smokers: don't buy the cigarettes.

That's the biggest struggle, the shopping. Once they're there with you in the house you're pretty much fucked.

I lost the struggle today an bought 4 bags of barbecue chips and 24 cans of dr. pepper. Gonna be a fatass weekend bros
