I was ranting to a high school friend of mine about this girl I used to like, and he said that he believes she mentioned me at her sorority recently while talking to her friends, talking about some "guy she used to know who's stalking her now".

Let me put things into perspective. 7 months ago I texted her and she never responded. For the heck of it, I texted her one month back and after seeing her not respond, I blocked her. This girl never told me once that she didn't want to talk to me, rather choosing to mysteriously ignore my message while we had a perfectly fine conversation the day prior. I'm not quite sure what constitutes as stalking anymore, but if what I did was it, then just shoot me now because I don't want to live on this Earth.
