This is ridiculous. Misleading title, poor use of statistics.
Women do comprise a higher proportion of homicide victims in Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong than compared to, say, the United States, where the vast majority of homicide victims are men.
But the overall homicide rate is so low in Japan (0.26 per 100,000 population), South Korea (0.60), and Hong Kong (0.65), women in these three countries are still far less likely to be murdered than women in the United States (4.96) or the United Kingdom (1.20).
The countries which actually have the highest rates of female homicide are probably in South America and West Africa.
