Your second statement is only half right. Women (appear) to care less about looks than men, but only in the sense that men can compensate for their lack of looks with other factors like money, status, willingness/likeliness to commit, etc. Trust me though, women care about looks just as much as men do (if not more). No amount of compensating with outside factors will make up for the fact that the girl isn't physically attracted to you, this is why so many men get cucked (dead bedrooms, massive divorce rate with women being the majority of initiators), etc.
