You need to develop your ear. Modern guitar work was inspired by metal. We're known for taking a genre and dialing it back a genre. Jazz turns into city pop. Electronica turns into denpa. Metal turns into J-rock. I actually can't think of any genre that emo influenced, and I am a MCR fan.
