Imagine you are playing a romantic-related visual novel to experience something virtual what you will never experience in real life. You are basically cucking yourself, but not quite since this visual novel has a special twist in it. You have been through all those routes only to get that girl but in the end this girl will end up with someone else or preferable with a dog.
Even better: You start the game and trying to take a route of some girl. Then seconds after that she looks at you with declination and you end up rejected by her.

Anime should be the same. Oregeiru is a good example. It starts good and even until the end the protagonist is watchable. The problem is, this is still utterly unrealistic. There is nobody that would take care of you, not even teachers. The protagonist is just an outcast. He should have died while he saved the dog from a crash. Then the anime should have focused on the class and their reaction to it. Nobody would have been concerned by it. Even his family would be only in sorrow for some weeks and then lifes goes on.

Also the difference between the protagonist and his sister is interesting. She is all buoyant and is living the full dopamine rush, while the protagonist is always down.

@Mainländer
What do you think of this idea for your visual novel?

Funny thing, anime and manga are censored by the US

NONONONONO
seriously, fuck no
what the shit?
I think if I wanted to deal with cunts, I'd deal with cunts in real life. DO NOT POISON MY COPES.
ANIME GIRLS SHOULD BE CUTE, KIND, GENTLE AND LOVING CREATURES

I enjoy realistic stuff as well but I also like to have something pleasant and idealized.

All animes/mangas/VNs I watched/read in my life were at least partially realistic.
For example, in Katawa Shoujo, the protagonist is good-looking and his disability doesn't impair his looks, contrary to many there like Hanako and Rin. So it's natural the women there fawn over him.

I think the most unrealistic anime/manga/VN I ever watched/read in my life (in the context of men x women relations) is Kodomo No Jikan.
Rin likes Aoki just because he's nice to her and keeps liking him till the end and aggressively pursuing him romantically and sexually even though he's a beta normie and she's a blonde mini-bombshell who has minichads approaching her.

In reality he would be posting on this forum. This is why it needs a real shift inside of this specific community.

If my VN comes to fruition it will have lots of realistic elements that represent inceldom, among other familar phenomena.

Then nobody would watch it since it would be too realistic, social outcasts are always normie/chadlite or chad looking, normies and even incels would want to see happy ending most of the time.
