So I was watching this dude post pictures of monkeys and guinea pigs, and suddenly it hits me that humans and those animals are descended from a common ancestor. Which is a no shit thing, until it really HITS you. We both come from the same flesh and blood, we came out of the same womb at one point. The only reason we aren't able to reproduce with eachother is because we've been reproductively isolated for so long, they became so different from us through a long process of random genetic changes that got flung at the wall and stuck over time.
Because polar bears can reproduce with brown bears and lions can reproduce with tigers, you can argue that the cutoffs in taxonomy are essentially socially constructed. The animal kingdom is just one big churning pot of surviving chad cum that's gone separate ways, all of them are our relatives.
If you look at animals like monkeys and keep this in mind they just look like really deformed people. Big ears, funny-shaped face with a sort of snout, hairy bodies, tails, but they still have a similar body plan to us. The only thing different is genetics, just like with deformed people and normal people but on a much bigger scale. Monkeys are just wacky people that live in trees.
