It's honestly laughable that I have to write this. In any decent country this wouldn't be necessary, but what I fear is that if I don't, it'll set a terrifying precedent; that my right to use this forum in the UK could be jeopardised permanently.
There's a certain irony in this case. I can guarantee you if what set this off was flipped around, that woman would've walked off free, or even been celebrated as a "hero" for standing up to someone. She'd have had her sentence reduced to a slap on the wrist, if that. Meanwhile the victim would go through hell, because, women aren't seen as capable of wrongdoing.
As he's already explained, he doesn't have much of a life outside this forum.
"But why doesn't he try to improve himself?"
He's already tried, and it didn't work. I have myself, and it hasn't worked. These platitudes simply don't corroborate with the reality we experience. If looks don't matter in dating:
- Why do "attractive" and "beautiful" mean the same thing?
- Why do women wear makeup?
- Why is "ugly" bad/an insult?
- Why do stories about ugly men with partners make the news?
- Why do we need to teach children not to judge books by their covers?
The ".is is fuelling his misogyny" argument is, frankly, a load of bollocks. It's not this site which is fuelling the misogyny; it is the actions women have given to us that is fuelling it. An eye for an eye, if you will. Unfortunately, because all of us are ugly, we are seen by society as the bad people automatically.
"But he's a future rapist"
I know him quite well, and I don't see this personally. I condemn rape for a load of reasons. Why are you wasting your time with a "potential future rapist" when there are plenty of current rapists you should be getting thrown in prison. Remember: It's not racist to say cultural/racial background could play a part.
My sincere recommendation is that you reject this application, and that the police stops wasting resources on a nothing burger case. You're only going to be pouring petrol on a fire.
