A 38-year-old former security guard in Edmonton, Alberta, said that being “involuntarily celibate” contributed to him killing a man while on the job.

Sheldon Russell Bentley was sentenced to four years in prison for manslaughter on Wednesday for an incident that occurred on July 31, 2016 behind a strip mall supermarket, Lucky 97. While on a shift there, Bentley stomped on the torso of a 51-year-old man who’d been sitting in a back alley.

Bentley’s combat boot "made an audible thump," causing two big tears in Doucette’s abdomen, which then filled with two litres of blood, according to a closing argument by a Crown prosecutor.

"He was frustrated with his lot in life, he was angry at the world," Justice Paul Belzil said of Bentley, StarMetro Edmonton reports.

Bentley’s use of the term “involuntarily celibate” nods to the “incel” community, which the Toronto van attacker Alek Minassian appeared to be associated with when he allegedly killed 10 people and injured 16 this April.

I'm not in any way endorsing violence by saying this. I'm a completely nonviolent person by nature. I've never even been in a fist fight. But at some point society is going to have to confront the fact that you can't bar an entire generation of men from sex without there being some sort of consequences.

Jordan Peterson has addressed this point as well. One of his primary arguments for socially enforced monogamy is that sexless men can easily become violent men, and this process has been a recurrently destabilizing force throughout history.

This problem could be solved or at least controlled if society could permit some means for us to have a sexual outlet. Legalize prostitution. Make better sex dolls. Do something. The rates of involuntary celibacy are skyrocketing higher every year as hypergamy progresses.

We've seen enough examples to know that plenty of men go insane from being incel and this can unfortunately sometimes lead to violence. This is just another particularly sad example.

Canada, not just Toronto, is pretty bad from my understanding. Even the prairies (some of the biggest male feminist faggots I've ever run across online were from Sask and Manitoba for some reason) - and Edmonton is probably the most shitliberal city there (probably something to do with U of A). Maritimes are a little better, maybe. On the whole, though, it strikes me as a boreal California - it might not all be equally bad (LA vs. Redding, Toronto vs. Thunder Bay), but it's all still pretty bad given certain features of federal/state law and the prevailing culture. Any Canuckcels got an opinion on this?
