Why do I find Indian people so hard to work with? I work in technology in Silicon Valley. Is this a shared experience?

Having worked with hundreds of Indians (I work in IT) across multiple verticals and horizontals in diverse industries, I can say with full confidence that no born and raised American with any sense of dignity and self respect would want to be in any permanent situation where they are the sole non-Indian on an IT team consisting of Indians on H1B visas especially if the company is one which outsources their labor offshore as a primary component of their business model. Not surprisingly, the largest IT services companies are the worst offenders of this type of work culture.
Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be much hope as most IT departments these days are overrun by ‘bad’ Indians who stifle advancement opportunities for non-Indians while shamelessly promoting their own to continue their cycle of stubborn mediocrity. In situations such as these, the US worker typically leaves voluntarily thereby contributing to the imbalance. FWIW, I believe most Indians recognize this fact and aggressively take advantage of it.
Maybe someday, things will be different but as far as I can see, the majority of Indians on work permits see it as their solemn duty to keep themselves and their fellow Indians in the US at all costs. If a fellow US colleague gets screwed- too bad so sad. This mindset is so deeply rooted and well recognized, that even the largest international companies choose to have almost exclusively US-born whitewashed HR management in their highest leadership roles so as to not run askew on any discrimination-related lawsuits.
Thankfully, our current administration is clamping down on willy-nilly H1B handouts which has really made a difference with respect to opportunities for those of non-Indian descent.
