I went to a McDonalds recently and they have replaced cashiers with self-kiosks, following supermarket models of "do-it-yourself" self checkouts.

Sure it's nice not to interact with cashiers but it was better when they scanned and bagged your items a few years ago so you didn't have to.

And these self checkouts are shit anyways, the screens always freeze up and require employee assistance anyway.

Honestly, these stores are cutting costs as much as possible at the customer's expense, even though the government greatly funds them (Walmart accounts for roughly 24% of SNAP shoppers’ total spending which results in two billion monthly).

Therefore, plastic bag fees should be paid by the store and more lanes should be manned by wagies. No need for this lazy DIY crap model that only coin clippers would think of.

Is that a thing in America ? Every country i have been to its the norm that you bag your groceries yourself, with only few exceptions

self checkout is better for incels so cope

You're not. I absolutely hate them and the whole satanic movement into cashless society

I like them because I hate talking to people

I see McDonalds as inflation survivor with increased sales to fill the gap long-term.
It is beginning to feel like a luxury to eat out.
Yummy

That's disgusting, and another point to consider.

A few years ago SC's were barely popping up and cashiers would do the work for you.

I've never seen them being cleaned the dirty bastards

I love self-service

Tbh, I should be liking self-checkouts but I don't at all.

In Germany the cashier is not supposed to pack your cart after scanning.

You have to do that, which is fine, because I know how to place everything and I like doing it my way.

Also, I want there to be humans in case there is a problem with my receipt and if there are only machine and an automated process, things can go south real fast, especially of these machines aren't sentient.

No thanks. I prefer humans to do that job.

I need those like I need oxygen lol.

Yes. I like talking to female cashiers.

I fucking hate when I’m at a supermarket self check out and an item doesn’t scan properly so you’re forced to wait for an employee because the machine doesn’t allow you to proceed so they walk over and look over at you like you’re a fucking idiot when the fault is in the piece of shit machine that should do its job properly.

The clerks are my only human contact

I look upon the Autobot in distain

If you were GL, would you like talking to people? I think a lot of men just force themselves to be social butterlfied becasue red pileld faggots tell them to look like friendly, outgoing guys that talk to every boring, useless faggot around to impress women.

I’ve had some many accidental miscounts using them

I often accidentally forgot to scan certain items which tend to be the most expensive, I’ve accidentally saved so much money doing this

I sometimes forget about the bar code while I am scanning the item, it happens a lot oops

But hey am only human, we all make mistakes

Self-service kiosks have been around for quite a while now. The only reason cashiers still exist is because of old people who suck with technology.

better to use a self checkout than check out with a foid cashier that pretends you don't exist

I don’t really care

Better than having indian cashiers that keep product pushing down your throat

Many of these machines don't accept cash, and I always pay in cash.

That's perfectly normal in Germany, and it's wonderfully efficient. But in Burgerland, you'd probably get constantly bombarded with chatter... I'd go crazy.

The cashiers here hardly talk anymore, well in the big stores at least. More of a cold shoulder, really.

grocery store self checkouts work smooth for me, mostly haven’t been to other goyslop self servicements. it’s awkward either way for me but i like that standing in line is less of a pain through self checkout since as i’m about to they’re already getting past themselves on move

Wonderful. I couldn't stand it if someone feigned friendliness just because their job required it.

That as well. I always pay cash because fuck a cashless soyciety.
Richtig. Wenn alles nur noch virtuell funktioniert, bist du endgültig der totale Bimbo der Mächtigen.
