He probably managed to keep Germany in the war 18 months longer than it otherwise would have done he was one of the few Nazi's who had any idea what he was doing. Leaving aside some of the Wehrmacht Generals who knew what they were doing with the war of movement/combined operations. Not that making the war last 18 months longer did anyone any good.
