Good point. Well, tbh, these licence probably exist for a reason and I'd feel safer when the pilot flying my plane is actually allowed to.

After a certain period of time if he went, they would obviously question why he kept flying without obtaining the license. So I'm guessing he just said fuck it and decided to go with the flow.
